MY STORY, THUS FAR

I'm a cheerleader for students. Always have been.

After earning my degree in Neuropsychology from TCU, I taught in both public and private schools from 1999 through 2005. From 2006 to 2016 I worked as an independent educational consultant, helping students prepare for the SAT and ACT and navigate the college admissions process. In 2016 I became a software designer and founder in healthcare technology. That entrepreneurial chapter has been meaningful, but I still love working with students. The work still feels like home.

Today’s students already carry enough. Between school demands, social media, packed schedules, and the constant noise of the world around them, they have more stimuli than any generation before them. My job is to take the pressure off. I create a calm, focused space where we slow down, break the test into manageable pieces, and build real confidence—one strategy, one practice section, one small win at a time.

As college admissions grow more competitive, many parents are looking for steady, experienced guidance. As a mother to a dedicated RN, I’ve seen how the right support at the right time can change a student’s trajectory. That is why I keep returning to this work. It remains a passion.

With more than a decade of experience preparing students for the SAT and ACT, I know the tests inside and out—the patterns, the traps, and the most effective ways to approach them. I work comfortably with a range of learning differences. Above all, I take pride in helping students believe in themselves. When a student walks away knowing they’ve got this, that’s the real win.
